Amanda needs a new hairdo, I mean, come on.

But I loved Brook White! She was fantastic, and a good song choice...and quite possibly meant for Simon :)

I don't know if I believe the coincidental comment. It seems awfully suspicious.

I guess you could say great minds think alike... but still. Anyway, for some reason, I think Amanda will get enough votes despite the absolutely horrible hair. I've got a great graphic of Amanda on my site. (***shameless plug)

2 weeks in, and I think the men still out performed the women this week (and the men werent overall spectacular)...

Amanda totally picked the wrong song. Kansas was a great band and that was/is a great song. However, it was just too much for her to handle and she definitely needs to heed Randy's advice if she escapes being sent home tonight. That was the worst performance not just of the last two weeks - but probably of all seven seasons - absolutely terrible.

I think the top three from last night were: 1. Carly Smithson, 2. Asia'h Epperson, and 3. Kristy Lee Cook

I agree with the Cap'n the the men are out performing the women. I don't even think it is close yet. It's like the Cardinals playing in the NFL - they are way out of their league... :)

I am not a fan of Kristi Lee Cook's performance style... she stands weird and makes too many facial expressions. It really is uncomfortable for me to watch.

And Jason, I think it is good that you finally exposed yourself as a true fan of Grease. This is one of the things we should all know about you. Are you slicking back your hair as we speak?

I can't believe I'm still watching A.I. I'm still waiting for someone to impress me. For the most part, I yawn thru the whole show. I'm just not interested in anyone. The only person who sparked my interest got cut during Hollywood week. (A moment of silence, please, for Josiah Lemming.) The performers this year are just more of the same.

@ Jason (not Bourne) - yes, I really did think Carly was the best last night. It has nothing to do with tattoos either. She has consistently done one thing rather well - pick the right song for her voice. That ability will carry her far into the competition.

There are some people on this show who are much better singers than what we have seen. Their problem is that they chose terrible songs and will probably never get another chance, on this show at least, to prove what they really are able to do.

I was already to start in with a break down of last nite, but first; Jason, a fan of Grease? Seriously? We're going to have to ask you to turn in your Man-card. :-)

Overall, the women have been pretty mediocre, the men haven't blown me away, but they are much better at this point. From last nite, I agree with the 'Ape', Carly, Kristy Lee and Asia'h we tops. I definitely think Amanda's going home along with either Alaina or Kady. One last thought Brooke was good, but I didn't think she was as good as some thought. The Carly Simon thing will get old quick.

I'm with the Ape on the Carly Simon thing...never have liked her stuff.

But I feel I must defend my manhood. Grease is a classic and manly musical filled with manly men doing manly stuff and the women who obey them...or something like that. Grease 2 is more girly but still good.

Ok Jason check this:

Grease had no nudity, no actual fight scenes - they decided that with a car race, and consisted of 30 somethings still trying to finish high school.

We own the Grease DVD, but it belongs to my WIFE!

Jeff, any man that puts on a mustache and a dress and pretends to be a private eye while sitting on the toilet while his wife takes pictures of him...can't say anything about another man liking Grease.

And, Mike, I don't think I care to see John Travolta naked. Maybe you do. Maybe that's your thing...

Not that there's anything wrong with that...
