don't you think the whole "producer's choice" song is really a way for them to screw with the contestants? i mean, they can pick crappy songs for people they want off the show, etc. i think it is such a stupid and biased idea!
i was laughing out loud during david a. trying to cover chris brown. omg. you have to have a little soul in that song. that was the most vanilla r and b cover i've ever heard. and hearing david a. call a girl "mama" is hilarious!

I think I'm officially unplugged from this season. I didn't watch last night and I kind of doubt I will, altho I will follow the action here.

David C is the best of the group and the only one who's material I could seeing buying. I expect David A to win and probably the only thing that might get me back next season is if he doesn't...even then...maybe not.

It seemed very unfair to saddle David Cook with that crappy old Roberta Flack song when the other two got easy peasy stuff that played to their strengths. Now granted, he made the most of it, but it was still a crappy song.

I respect Cook for choosing that Switchfoot song based not on strategy but just because it fit his mood, but it was a poor choice.

Only someone who thinks that "Pour Some Sugar On Me" is a good representation of Def Leppard would think that "I Don’t Want To Miss a Thing" is "one of the greatest songs ever." It's an overblown, sappy mess regardless of who performs it! Again, David made the most of a poor choice.

I thought Syesha held back on "Fever" and it'll cost her. The performance part was good, but the vocals were too restrained and lackluster. She's done better. She did very well on the Alicia Keys song, but it did sound almost note for note exactly like the original. Randy kinda did her wrong with that song choice.

By all rights, Archuleta should go tonight, but I'll bet it's Syesha instead. This squinty little squirt has survived far too long on the good graces (and speed dials) of prepubescent girls. And it was grossly unfair that Paula & the producers put him right into his audience's lap with sappy, slow songs.

I'd love it if David A. went home, who would Randy have to gush about next week?

I didn't even see the episode last night, I got a phone call and the wife watched it, and I'm sort of with Scott...I just don't care I guess.

Maybe it's the level of talent this year, it's just not up to snuff unless it's David Cook in my opinion.

Well, you guys should all be thanking me for putting in the time to watch what's left of this show after you all bailed on me... I'm so glad it's almost over.

"you can blow dawg" - sounds more like an insult...

"You can blog dawg!" That's what he said!

Randy always says that..."You can definitely blow man..."

    Which I always find cringe-inducing :)

Don't worry, Jason, I've got your back. I watched the show... and will probably watch every season. I actually don't get why everyone is down on the talent this season. I think we finally don't have horrible people in the final 12, 10, whatever, as we have in the past - Chicken Little, John the crooner guy, the Hawaiian girl, and Sanjaya. How quickly people forget. I think this season is actually been more interesting talent-wise because they are actually more artists, not just singers.

Anyway... this is my prediction: David Cook is going to win this thing. I don't know if that's a good thing for him, but I think it is definitely swaying that way. And I think the producers and judges know he will ultimately be more marketable in the future.

Take those 2 cents to the bank!

I agree Jina, you are right that we don't have complete losers like Jim from season 1, or Chicken Little...or Sanjaya...but maybe it's the fact that most of them just seem GOOD, not GREAT like Daughtry or Carrie Underwood.

    I dunno...but I do know I'll be watching next season again :)

People keep saying that it'll be bad for David Cook if he wins because they'll make him do a stupid pop album or something, but I really don't think the producers are that stupid. I think they'll do with him the same thing that was done with Daughtry and he'll go on to sell a couple million albums easy.

I have his first album and it's pretty good although a good producer could have made it better.

Ok, so I lied, I went back and watch highlights of this during lunch today. Thank God for DVR's. Either way there's an hour I won't get back.

I tend to agree with Rob, between lobbing him easy songs and all the teenyboppers David A's prob a shoe in.

Also to Mikes points, we've had more good talent this season, but very little great talent. David C may indeed be this years Daughtry and I actually think Syesha will have a better career that David A. I guess I'm 'just not likin it' when it comes to the rest of the top 10. :-)

not really following idol, but Syesha's cover of Alicia Keys was solid.
