David Cook was amazing - he is the complete package - musician, singer, performer. Jason Castro was great and I really didn't understand Randy's comments about his performance. As you said, David A's vocals were great as usual, but he really doesn't take any risks. I feel the same way about Carly and Syesha. They just take the song they are given and sing it. They've got to do more than that.

Man, I liked David Cook this week, he was awesome...but a few things:

    1. Randy and the judges seem to want David A. to win, because they do nothing but heap praise on him and the guy bores me to tears. I really can't stand him.

    2. Carly did a lot better than they gave her credit for.

I should say, they pick a song and sing it.

Jason - I totally agree with your assessment regarding David Cook which is why I gave him the top 2 spots of my top 3 - he's just that good!

I wrote about it on my A.I. post and thought I would see anyone else's thoughts - Did you hear Simon Cowell say to Paula something along the lines of: "You want his milk and you've got a boner."

Obviously, his microphone was not supposed to be on yet, but it seemed as clear as day to me. I was just curious. It happened right after Carly's performance when Randy was giving his critique.

I heard something at that spot, but never went back to listen...

    Strange.
  • The Trousered Ape · 1 year ago
I doubt that is what was said...

I thought I heard him say "Someone should punch Ryan Seacrest in the face.." thats what it sounded like to me...

I wouldn't stake my life on it either, but once a thought gets in your head and you can't for sure make out what is being said, it's hard to be subjective when replaying it.

Someone commented that he said doughnut instead of boner - which makes sense in regards to the milk. Maybe I'm returning to my Beavis and Butthead days - LOL, he said boner.

I think a girl is going home this week... and I think it could easily be an all girl bottom three. We shall see.

@ Jason: :) Thanks for the shout out!
For everyone else: No DVR is to be had in the house. :(

I'm guessing either Davids will win the whole thing.

Ana - please do something about the lack of DVRs...I don't think you realize how much you need one :)
  • Ana · 1 year ago
We had one when we lived in North Texas...and we miss it greatly.
  • Mike · 1 year ago
South Texas doesn't have the technology? :)

They do - but it's called an Insta-matic. They have to take Polaroid pictures of the show as they are watching it - then they construct a flip-book and "play" it back. :)

ROTFL! That's classic Ape! The problem is the whole signing a contract, fees, etc... They want our first born, and I don't think Makenzie would like that too much.
  • Mike · 1 year ago
    hahahahah....Insta-matic :)

@Ana although it only took 4 install attempts and a guy through my ceiling, Mo got me to complete #84 on his to do list (Mo whatever happened to that), and I'm a proud owner on an instant-matic, er, I mean DVR. They are like Frosted Flakes, because they are Greaeaaat! You lease them now-a-days anyways, so if they break you get a new replacement one. Its all pretty easy really, well excluding my nightmare issues with it, but forget that, thats another story :)

  • Mike · 1 year ago
    Me...Mike Olbinski

Unfortunate nickname I've had for awhile...I think it started when I wrote M.O. on my lunch bags in high school and then people started calling me MO!
  • The Trousered Ape · 1 year ago
I like MOlbinski better because it reminds me of Mo'money.

People at work call me "Mike O" all the time...usually something like Mike Ohhhhhh in a long drawn out way.

When we were waiting for the word on the In Vitro stuff, someone came up with "Mike EmbryOhhhhhhhh"...

Shocking how many versions of name are floating around out there.

I tried to break him of it... but now, he wears it as some sort of badge. You know, I am only one person. There is only so much one person can do.
