Band of Brothers is certainly worth viewing and the book is quite good too.

One thing that I found interesting was that the movie cast looks a lot like the actual people.

Speaking of the Pacific theater, I'd like to see a movie based on the book With the Old Breed by EB Sledge. They did a History Channel bio show on it but a mini-series or movie treatment would be great, if it was done right.

Since I am a big fan of their work on Saving Private Ryan, I definitely need to add Band of Brothers to my list of shows/movies to watch.

Sweet man - I loved this mini-series. Probably the best wartime shows ever done to date.

Yes, it was good. Now, you have a reason to buy a blu-ray player. If lucky, LOTR(Extended) will be available before that one. ;)

I bet The Pacific will be available in 2009. It's been a while since I heard of it.
