I think Mark Sheppard is a hell of an actor, so I thoroughly enjoyed his insanity and final climb out of it at the end. What I didn't like were the inane conclusion that Lee was the best candidate for the position - I actually thought for a moment they'd go with the Old Man since Tigh is taking over the fleet - and the whole scene with the gun. That showdown was a lot of hubbub with false jeopardy. At no point did I think he'd shoot Lee. Maybe if they'd intimated that he might shoot himself that scene would have worked, I don't know.

The pregnancy was, unfortunately, totally ruined for me from last week's preview. I have finally learned to shut my eyes during the opening montage: as soon as I hear that first drum beat I clamp my lids tight. I haven't learned to skip the previews. Cottle's line in the preview last week made it pretty obvious Tigh was a Cylon baby-daddy.

This week's preview...well, I watched it like a sucker. So here's *my* spoiler warning
* * *SPOILER* * *

I have been saying the Final Cylon would be Gaeta forever. Well, clearly it's not. But it's *not* going to be Roslin. It's going to be someone else on that Basestar. Someone to whom Deanna has a big reason to apologize...

Captain Karl Agathon.

That's my new guess. I'm sticking with it for at least one week!

Richards last blog post..FSW: Rachael Ray, Terrorist!
