I saw this yesterday and the fact that the lion remembered his human friends wasn't what I was so surprised at. The fact that the lioness came up to the men and let then pet HER was amazing. She and Christian were so in sync that she knew they wouldn't harm her. Amazing.

I wonder if the lions were on some reservation where they are used to seeing humans...makes more sense to me.
