Cruise and Noyce Exiting “28th Amendment” for “Edwin A. Salt”?

A while back I reported that Tom Cruise was getting set to play the President and co-star with Denzel Washington in a political thriller called The 28th Amendment that Phillip Noyce (Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger) would be directing. Well, scratch that.

I heard Disney was casting a new Elmo movie, and guess who is up for the lead... wait for it... that's right, Christian Bale.

I'm kidding, of course, but that's guy is literally everywhere in Hollywood right now.

I'd rather see Cruise in the role of a spy running for his life, than as the President...it just borders on totally unbelievable to me.

Cruise hasn't made a good movie in a while. I still like most of Denzel's movies and Bale is definitely the hottest actor in Hollywood at the moment.
