    Stupid...

Well, in a simplest terms, without the motivation behind it, you can kind of see the flood as an "environmental apocalypse" I guess...I mean, something wiping out virtually all man-kind is the definition of an apocalypse almost.

However, basing the entire story off the environment and not the true motivation behind the Noah story is a bit lame.

    historical revisionism...

I'll quote from The Ape, "Stupid..."
  • ScottyDub · 1 year ago
The story of Noah and the ark has ZERO to do with the environment and everything about man's sin. Again not his sin against the environment or the animals, sin against God. God never said, if you all don't drive Prius's and recycle I'm going to flood the planet and destroy you. I can't imagine this movie gets made, but you never know.

We're gonna need a bigger boat.

Aronofsky certainly doesn't know the difference between an environmentalist and a biologist. That said, so many people in Hollywood say such stupid things it's almost hard to hold it against them. Maybe he's just trying to fit in.

Jesus Christ, "Jason" is an idiot. You guys need to stop taking the Bible and "god" so seriously. Not everything is so literal and straightforward, besides the fact that God does NOT exist, period. Metaphors people.....metaphors.
  • Mike Olbinski · 1 year ago
He doesn't exist, yet you used one of his names in your insult...interesting
how that works. Why do you use the name of a fictitious person?

You might be amazed some Christians don't take the flood as a literal event, others yes. Personally it has no bearing on my belief in God. You have your factual basis for why God doesn't exist, these people have their reasons why he does. I don't believe anyone here is seeking you out and trying to convert you or brow beat you so what harm is it if we/they take God so seriously? Either you are an ahole who believes he/she is right about everything and needs to let everyone know how right he/she is or something else. Obviously you can say what you want to say but I think calling someone an idiot isn't a constructive way to get your opinion across. Just look at what Jesus stood for and said, not necessarily the religion that grew out of it or even the behavior of some of the people who are Christians. If you seriously care read Jesus for President and Myth of a Christian Nation which may give you a wider view of who Jesus (or the fairy tale of God etc) is in the scope of our society today.

I personally think that the God of the Bible does exist that He is real and that the flood of the Bible did happen. Therefore, I think this movie sounds stupid...kind of like your rant.

However, when you start your own Entertainment news blog you should feel free to write about whatever you wish including us "idiots" who believe there might be more to life than anonymously posting insulting comments on pop culture blogs. I promise I won't stop by and bother you. :)

"fact that God does NOT exist"... fact? Really? I was unware there were facts associated with the existence of God...
