Comic Master, I agree...would have been nice, especially because I just read Captain America's final issue and that should have been included.

Civil War was awesome all the way around. Captain America's side was the right side. They fought for the true meaning of a hero! Cpatain America's team of heroes kicked Iron-mans villians and heroes asses. I think the graphic novel should of included all of the other issues form X-men, Spider-man, Iron-man, Cpatain America and the rest in it. That would have been the whole complete story of the Cival War. The event was similar to they war our nations Civil War. Cap's team were the south and Iron-man's was the north. And at the end the souths general "General Lee", Marvel Captain America gave up for his men and his people. Civil Wra was awesome.

@ BIM - yeah, I talked to Cap'n on the phone and we figured all that out...he knew about the #25, but when he scanned the one he sent me, he thought he saw it in there.

But yeah, it just covers the 7 main issues.

I do love all this stuff, but being 3 decades behind, I think it's hard to catch up...

@ Cap'n - that happens in Captain America #25, not in Civil War itself.

@ Mike - glad to see you are getting into comics. You'll be hooked. I've been reading/collecting them for over three decades. Did the graphic novel just cover the 7 main issues of Civil War? FYI: There were tie-ins across all the regular titles and many side story books released during its run. Great series.

@ Mo , man I'm certain it was in the book. He gets led up to the courthouse, and WHAMMO, no more Cap, a real bawl fest for sure. Man if its like the next page that isnt printed I'm gonna hurt myself...thats a major cat out of the bag. Cap gets off'ed and he's cuffed so thers nothing he can do about it..and how it happens is amazing... if anyone has any inkling to read a graphic Novel ever GO GET THIS ONE!!

I don't remember her from Sin City and imdb doesn't list her...she was in Ghost Rider stinking up the joint, though. And that takes some doing with a movie as bad as that!

Haven't seen it, just the trailers for it and I've read what the plot is. It's a pretty radical change from the comic and makes it more generic and less interesting. I suspect the effects and stunts will be fun to watch and people will think it's "super original", but in the end...I just wanted someone to make Wanted into a movie. :)

As I see it, a comic book is usually the first part of an overall story, released in the flimsy versions that you got when you are a kid. You get the clear plastic sleeves, cardboard backing, etc. They come out in a series, like this one, Civil War, was initially as 7-part series.

Once the series is done, they are recompiled into one large book version, sometimes hard cover, sometimes not, but usually great quality, glossy pages, some special features like penciled original drawings, etc. They also don't have all the ads and goofiness that comic books have.

Those are called graphic novels...usually a one, large complete story, not a comic book which is usually just the newest released volume of an ongoing story.

Dude, I just read the end again, there is no assassination...they show him turning himself in, handcuffed, and then they show him in a cell...from there, it goes to SHIELD in the sky and Tony Stark talking....

What do you think is the assassination?

Maybe I read it and forgot already, I'd be stupid not to remember that, but it's been known to happen.

If I didn't know better, I'd think I'd done too much pot or something the way I mis-remember stuff...

Thats how it ended, I even checked that book prior to me sending it to ensure it included it, otherwise I would have included a Separate Cap book as well.... I dunno how ya would miss it...its plain as day... =)

Civil War RAW-KED the Marvel universe which is still in effect today!!! The whole idea of passing a law to force heroes to register or become outlaws plays into todays politcs of monitoring everyone, and now even the Heroes we all know and love arent above it either.

**** SPOLIER WARNING BELOW****

Some unbelievable moments in this book. Spider-man unmasks!!!! Peter-Parker comes out in the news media and registers, Iron-man convinces Peter to do it. It sets the tone for a ton fo other heroes to do the same. you slowly see Peter regret his decision however, and move over to Caps side.
The end of the book is jaw dropping, Capn gets assasinated (pains me to say it, just as i was becoming a HUGE Cap fan!!), and how it happens is shocking...
This is the most awesomenessest (yes thats a word, I just made it up) story I've read collectively pieced together (I've even reaad all the prestories and inbetween ones). it super (excuse the pun) well done and written.

But Mo, I have one question for you... whos side were you on? Captain Amercias or Iron mans?

A must read for any comic or hero fan out there...
