Guillermo del Toro officially directing “The Hobbit” and sequel: Serkis, McKellen on board

Started by Mike Olbinski · 10 months ago

While Guillermo del Toro has officially announced that he’s been chosen to direct The Hobbit and its sequel, I’m officially getting friggin’ excited about the future of the Lord of the Rings franchise.
First off, seeing The Hobbit on the big screen like the ... Continue reading »

  • Making this one story into a trilogy will be interesting..lets hoep its done as well as the previous one...
  • Hmm, maybe i mis-wrote something, but they aren't making it into a trilogy...

It's going to be "The Hobbit" and then a sequel that will tell another story that is between The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy, sort of bridging the gap, even though del Toro says it isn't a "bridge" movie.
  • ok... you didnt write it wrong I read it wrong... I took LOTR trilogy and put it in this movie set....my bad... oh yeah, Cap dies...
  • I think you commented wrong just so I'd respond and you'd have a reason to keep adding to your insane comment count :)
  • Hehe... months wrapping up... who has the record? My buddy Ape? Whats his count total record? Looking at rpevious posting records best I can see is 167 is the record? i thought he had much more than that at one point...
  • I want Cap'n's job. Any place where you have enough time to comment 439 times in a month is the place for me!
  • For a typical silent Ana (the new Ana is much better btw), out of the shell with 102 comments so far aint shabby!!

You could have a job where you comment all day, though you would have to change your name to Jason-Mo....

or... Scotty has talked about it before on his blog site... you can make money doing most anything, you just need passion. Once you have passion, find a way to make money doing what you love to do (i.e. the human DVR note-takerer)!!
  • The problem is that my passion is Makenzie. I only get hugs as a salary for that one...well, that's not true. Ever so often I get that blessed poopy diaper. (You'll love it Jina!) :)

I may make my DVR Note-Takerer job full time though. There are a lot of soap operas on during the day that Jason doesn't have time to see. :)
  • I don't know if I can handle Ana reenacting "The Young and the Restless."

Everyone has really stepped up their game this month. Comments are crazy. Ana and Jina are even over a hundred each...of course, that's probably because this is the only way to communicate with Mike and I...
  • Which... is a good thing, right Jase?
  • I'm not falling into that trap.

It's a great thing that Ana and Jina have become so active in Pop Critics. Mike and I look forward to them becoming even more active members of the Pop Critics community in the future. :)
