Iron Man (Tony Stark) Cameo In “The Incredible Hulk” Revealed In New Trailer

Well, we told you guys a long time ago that Tony Stark would be making an appearance in The Incredible Hulk. So many of you listened to us and told your friends that Marvel decided the cat was already out of the bag and they may as well exploit the popular Iron Man connection.

    I think 10% of the general public care if Captain America and Tony Stark are in the movie. I think Marvel is letting this stuff out to get the fan boys to see the Hulk since apparently the original was a bust. I think I saw the Abomination without pants on FX yesterday, I know he is bigger than the Hulk but what gives? Maybe because he is reptillian or amphibious his maleness goes I don't know where. Sorry never sexed a lizard or a frog. Maybe the Hulk is wearing Mc Hammer purple pants.

    What do you mean, "original"? Wasn't the first Hulk movie not-Marvel but rather a franchise?

    With what Marvel is doing, the franchise movies and the stories of those movies are now non-canon. (With the exception of the animation franchises which are mostly based on the comics, or already considered canon.)

    I don't know, I'd rather consider the story and move created by Marvel themselves as canon and the franchise as non-canon. But that may just be me, I'm a canon-freak :p

    Well, the first Hulk movie can pretty much be ignored from what I hear.

    From Iron Man on, all the movies are produced by Marvel Studios, so this is THEIR franchise and their stuff...so they own it, and so as far as the movies go, I'd consider it canon.

    Yep same. I only recognize only Marvel produced movies as the canon movies, all non-Marvel as non-canon.

    But isn't X-Men, Punisher, and the other pre-Iron Man (except the first Hulk) also Marvel produced?

    I'm not sure, but I think Marvel Studios only came together themselves
    recently as a STUDIO company, so perhaps the earlier films weren't exactly
    sanctioned?

    I'm sure I'm wrong about that but who knows.

    No, Mike is right, other productions from Marvel were done with collaborations with LionsGate films (Punisher, Marvel animated films Avengers, Ironman etc..)

    Ok, I'm confused. So that makes Iron Man non-canon also? Or you don't meant to include Iron Man in the "other productions from Marvel"??

    I'm pretty sure Iron Man (the movie) is cannon. It would have to be pretty much since it was made by the newly created Marvel Studios.

    I didn't see the 1st Hulk so did not know Marvel didn't produce it etc.
    Although I am a big comic fan, I never paid attention to see what was
    franchised or what would be considered from the House of Marvel.

    There were 2 punisher movies. one was canon (the really bad one with Dolph Lundgren) and another one with Thomas Jane (not as bad, at least he could act) was made with Lionsgate. Early Marvel was Canon, now they are their own.

    Hmm.. now I'll trackback and see which movies were made by Marvel Studios and which were made in partnership/franchise. Hehe, and sort out canon and non-canon, and marvel at the future "Marvel Universe" movie. Something from these canon movies are the clues as the kind of stories and ideas they could have for that future movie.

    Wow, so let's not leave any surprises to people out there :) I mean, obviously most of us know it's going to happen, but if you put in a trailer, it's going to be seen by all kinds of people.

    Steal his thunder? Yes maybe, but Norton also has to realize he's part of something bigger...and they are ALL going to make TONS of cash because of it :)

    Yeah, I'm sure Norton was cool with it. Heck, it was probably his idea.

    Maybe the rumor about Captain America are true and that's why they don't care if we know Tony Stark makes an appearance?

    Not in the trailer itself, but if the movie is so overshadowed with the fact that Tony Stark and Captain America are in it...maybe Norton is losing some of the top billing from it.

    Well, he shouldn't be. He is a very good actor in his own right and he is going to be a part of a hugely successful conglomeration of movies it looks like.

    No, you're kidding... C. America will have an appearance also?

    So, chronologically this makes it (from oldest to latest):
    Iron Man
    Incredible Hulk
    C. America

    Now they are starting to silently link up the movies... preparing for an All Marvel Movie? (But how will X-Men fit, hmm..)

    JC, welcome to the site...yeah, there is a pretty big plan for Marvel coming up.

    First off, we get these cameos in The Hulk. Then we get Iron Man 2 later, and who knows what will happen there. Next up is the Thor movie, and then the Captain America origins movie, and like less than a MONTH after that one will be the The Avengers first film.

    That final one is set for 2011 or 2012 I think, I can't remember.

    It's going to be pretty great :)

    Hmm.. Marvel is turning the Movies into one big inter-linked "TV Series". Pretty expensive tho, but very exciting and interesting to follow (and watch).

    Different titles with relationship with each other, we usually see this kind of stories only in animations specifically Jap Anime, where a cross-over character appearance is in itself "canon" and affects the original show of that character who made a cameo.

    Marvel is beating DC in every turn. hehe.

    Well I know what Jason means by stealing his Thunder, allowing another huge stars scene that takes away form your movie, its a reason a lot of people may go see it. But I think he meant Robert Downey was stealing his 'Tropic' Thunder, and forgot a word... right Jason?
