Come on sci fi step up and do the right thing.

Re: Jericho to be saved once more, this time by cable?

Well, good luck to them. I hope they succeed. Last night's finale was a good episode. I was sorry to see it end.

Re: Jericho to be saved once more, this time by cable?

The fine folks at the Jericho Wiki aren't done. They're going to be brainstorming during the show and probably for weeks afterwards looking for the best network to take the "little show that could" under its wings.

No voice shall go unheard this time!

http://jericho.wetpaint.com/page/Save+Jericho+II

We just have to find a network able to leverage the movement behind this show and the idea of "new media."

Re: Jericho to be saved once more, this time by cable?

Yeah, there's still plenty of interest and plenty of fan support to make it a hit show on a cable network. In some ways, CBS probably helped Jericho's cause, as far as getting picked up by a cable network, when they drastically cut their budget this season. The Jericho creative team was able to show that they could still make the tough decisions they needed to make (such as cutting loose sets and cast members) yet still keep the show entertaining for the audience. It's an important thing to remember because cable shows usually don't have quite the budgets that network shows do. It could make the show a lot more attractive to someone like Sci-fi.

Re: Jericho to be saved once more, this time by cable?

..so should it be saved a 3rd time? This is definitely a movement that is beginning to surface and probably gets strength from Hollywood's inability at times to develop new ideas (hence the remakes of older movies, Wolf Man anyone?)
