I think the Tachyon Man didn't know who Dan was because the Tachyon Man in /his/ time isn't the one he usually sees. It's a slightly older Tachyon Man who (for whatever reason) develops the ability to travel. Perhaps because of something he's working on.

Interesting theory to be sure. Of course, the one who he was talking to before, was also seemingly on the lecture tour and stuff like that, so I'm not sure.
The way he stared at him though...he must have known him, at least, that picture was taken when he was much younger, so he had to have remembered.

I guess if time is involved, people could likely control Olivia in any time period.
Would be pretty cool if we found another traveler here tomorrow that is from even fruther back in time :)
