With Michael not being able to kill himself it reminds me of the Final Destination movies except in reverse.
It will be interesting to see if they can nail down the exact timeline of when Michael and Walt returned to civilization and when Tom met with him in NYC and how these events line up. There seems like there might be a continuity problem in there somewhere.

I thought the same thing re the sound in the background in Libby's 2nd scene. Totally thought it sounded like the smoke monster.
All in all, another great episode and more so, a fantastic ending! Sucks to have to wait 4 weeks until it airs again.
Kory, glad you heard the sound I did!
If Michael is in the coffin, it makes sense that no one would want to go...
Also, if Michael is the one in the coffin that means that the Island finally allowed him to die where Jack still has work to do and can't kill himself even though he's tried.
I anticipate a scene where the Freighter Commandos attack and Hurley is captured because their weapons fail when they try to shoot him. :)

Also, I wonder if Sayid is working for Ben sort of the same way Michael is...he has work left to do before the Island will let him go.
Man this show is great, I cannot wait to see how they get off the Island and why some people stay.
P.S. I regret to admit that I was totally wrong about Aaron not being one of the Oceanic 6. However, the Oceanic 6 plus one theory still applies since Sun had a successful birth. So I'm not entirely wrong.
Also about Aaron being Kate's son. Now that you mention it, it doesn't make much sense. Plus if her claim is that she was some unnoticably 6 months pregnant on the plane, her rescue story of Jack and three others seems impossible. Definitely need some clarity here. Maybe we give the writers too much credit sometimes, and they just made a mistake.
Where did the helicopter go? Personally I have a theory:
Ben had many chances to kill Karl before, he never did it. He was always "afraid" of how his people would look at him if he ever resorted to such actions.
Also, remember what is the punishment for killing "one of them" ? Juliet was going to be executed for killing one of the Others. If Ben layed a trap to kill Karl (One of the Others), wouldn't the Others kill Ben for killing one of them?
Ben had Karl captive before, he threw him in a jail, he tried to brainwash him, but he didn't attempt to kill him.
When Locke and his group ran into Charlotte. Ben grabbed Karl's gun when he let his guard down and shot Charlotte. He could've killed Karl if he wanted to.
Ben didn't want Michael to kill everyone on the freighter, because there are some "good" people. And he wanted to prove that he isn't a heartless monster to Michael (Even though he is a heartless bastard). If Ben was a heartless murderer, why wouldn't he put a working bomb on the freighter and let Michael end it right there?
All I said is to support this weird theory I've been thinking about:
Where is Frank Lapidus? He took off on an assignment...
Frank went back to the freighter and reported what they found on the Island. The captain told them to prepare guns to get Ben by force. A few freighter people joined Frank and went to the Island. The first people they ran into are Danielle, Alex and Karl. Since they are under orders to kill anyone except Ben... They do so. When Alex started shouting that she is Ben's daughter, they stopped shooting. She could come in handy in the future.
One last note: The guns that were used were high-tech. I'd say sniper guns with silencers or something fancy. Ever seen anything like this on the Others? Even the Dharma artilery (The guns in the Hatch) weren't that high-tech.
So yeah.. discuss
Can't wait for the show to come back on, now I need to know!
The weapons weren't all that fancy though. Given the lack of accuracy, silence and rapid firing plus what we've seen previously on the freighter they were most likely H&K MP5 submachineguns with a silencers and sub-sonic ammo, a typical special forces weapon for quiet operations.

The Island armory has several logistics problems, most notably incompatible ammo types. Of course, in typical Hollywood fashion, they play fast and loose with what ammo goes into what firearm.
