Pop Critics: Movie Review: “Charlie Wilson’s War” (2007)

Why the refusal to see The Di Vinci Code?

Honestly, I didn't like how Dan Brown portrayed the book as being true, when it was completely made up, so I didn't feel like supporting the movie version. Besides, I heard it was pretty bad and I find it hard to spend money on worthless movies :)

Now, if someone were to pay me to review EVERY movie, then I'd probably see those :)

The story is fun, but the middle gets bogged down with a few chapters of the explanation of it all, which is where I had issues with it.

There is no lying that the story itself was a good little plot, but the idea behind the way Brown made it appear factual is what bothered me afterwards.

People read it and believed it.

I wont watch it and I wont let that stuff go :)

Also, the 25% on Rotten Tomatoes kind of makes me think it's not worth seeing :)

I finally saw this movie this weekend on DVD. I thought it was okay, but I don't see how it was considered a comedy. Overall, I thought it was pretty forgettable even with the great cast.

Well, Hoffman was pretty hilarious, so that's why it was considering a comedy I think...

Pretty forgettable to me as well...I enjoyed it, but didn't care that I saw it right after.
