Sarah Connor Chronicles: Season finale recap

Started by Mike Olbinski · 10 months ago

Now that’s what I’m talking about. Two hours of some of the most enjoyable television I’ve seen this fall season.
True, nothing much comes close to Lost this year, but after a slow start, The Sarah Connor Chronicles really took off and the season finale wa ... Continue reading »

  • Long live David Silver!
  • The writers are a-holes... and I mean that in a good way. I can't believe it ended like that.

That's cruel and unusual punishment. They didn't give me closure. Now I have to wait until next season to see what happens. Obviously, Cameron makes it out "alive" - or so you think.

I think I'm going to cry now.
  • You know, it's funny...after I wrote the recap, I looked around and saw a lot of people annoyed by how it ended...but I didn't feel that way at all.

I mean, there is nothing wrong with a little cliffhanger ending...that's what good shows do to bring us back.

    I just it COMES back...
  • I'm surprised not more people commented on the finale...for some reason I thought a bunch of you were watching it.

Maybe it's still sitting on your DVRs :)
  • If I recall correctly, there were supposed to be 4 more episodes (a 13 episode season) filmed, but due to the strike Fox wanted to make episode 9 the finale. I think. I could be way wrong but I think that's what I heard. Anyway, it might explain how a lot of people don't think it feels like a true season ender.

I really, really hope this show gets picked up for Season 2. I am surprised at how much I like it.
  • It wasn't that I was really 'annoyed' at the ending - but it left me wanting more.

I mean, how many shows end where one of the main characters (albeit a virtually indestructible terminating robot) gets blown up and that's it.

I feel like I need closure. I think I'll put on some PJs and grab a bucket of ice cream.
  • Well, the thing is I guess, I didn't see it as the end, I am hoping there is a second season, so in that regard, I didn't care as much.

Because regardless, they couldn't have "ended" it in any satisfactory way that soon.
  • Maybe im missing something...but how does John see his father at age 5 when John is 16.
  • Hmm, complicated answer :)

John's father goes back in time and gets Sarah COnnor pregnant and that's how John is born.

It's sort of an interesting time travel dilemma, because sending him back is what got her pregnant, but somehow John was there first.

Anyways...when he's 16, he sees his father at age 5, then like 20 years or so later, he gets sent back.
  • ahhh...well that makes sense. I can go to sleep now.

  • That is a jacked up father-son scenario... I wonder if his 5 year old father could actually ground him.

    "Who's your daddy? Who's your daddy? I am and I'm 5. You're grounded!"
  • Until you pointed out that was the season ender, I didn't realize I was going to be cut off cold turkey :( They never let us in on that bit of info with the channel I watch it on.
Oh well, guess I got some spare time this week.

  • Interesting, all week they promoted it here as the season finale.

The good news is that we should be getting a second season.
  • For all you who think Terminator is stupid you are idiots. Like Srah says to Cameron " Go to Hell!"
