Their first 2 albums were ska. Maybe home schooling affected this :)

Re: The Friday Question: 11/9/07

I just read today that No Doubt was inspired by Ska, which is sometime I may or may not have knew before :)

I do like No Doubt though.

Re: The Friday Question: 11/9/07

Om my gosh Matt, we have so many Five Iron memories to share with you!
I am a music junkie so it is hard to choose but... my favorite bands are:
The Killers (I can't wait for the B-sides album next week!) check out their songs Bones, Shadowplay or This River is Wild.
David Crowder Band, check out A Beautiful Collison or Remedy (too many to mention really).
No Doubt (they're reuniting next year, woo hoo!) my fave songs of theirs is Sunday Morning.
Other bands I love are 311, Jimmy Eat World, Bloc Party, Mute Math, Duran Duran, White Stripes, and Cake.
Let's not even get into individual music artists because then I could go on and on and on. :)

Re: The Friday Question: 11/9/07

Sweet Water - Crawl or Everything will be alright

http://www.myspace.com/sweetwaterrocks

is scrantonicity on iTunes?

Re: The Friday Question: 11/9/07

Five Iron Frenzy:

Oh, Canada
All That is Good
Beautiful America
Ugly Day
Every New Day
On Distant Shores

Re: The Friday Question: 11/9/07

:)

Re: The Friday Question: 11/9/07

Snow Patrol:

Chocolate
Chasing Cars
Shut your Eyes
You're all I have

Re: The Friday Question: 11/9/07

List out at least one song (if you were to recomend one song) from these bands as well, so i can try them out!!

Re: The Friday Question: 11/9/07

4 words...
Scrantonicity's cover of Roxanne!

Re: The Friday Question: 11/9/07

Anyone who knows me know I'll listen to just about anything. There's really just 2 kinds of music I don't like; one's Country, and the other's...wait for it..Western.

Just about anything else goes. I usually lean to slightly harder, edgier stuff, but I'll listen to everything from Linkin Park to Black eyed Peas to Eminem to Snow Patrol.

Re: The Friday Question: 11/9/07

I gotta go with Sweet Water. An alternative group that was big on the Seattle scene in the 90's. Since my music listening is usually all over the map, I need to throw in 2-Pac as my favorite rapper and Earth, Wind and Fire for RB as well.

Re: The Friday Question: 11/9/07

Matt, that is soooo crazy that you listen to FIF. Nicky and I were HUGE Five Iron Frenzy fans. Kingdom.... of the Dinosaurs!

I have way too many bands to choose from... let me think about this.

Re: The Friday Question: 11/9/07

Ska, wow...

I used to like a little of that, my favorite was the Mighty Mighty Boss Tones :)

Re: The Friday Question: 11/9/07

Favorite all time: Five Iron Frenzy (I never grew out of the ska kick of the late 90's, and these guys were my favorite.) However, they saw the light and realized ska was dead and broke up. Ah well. At least I'll always have the CD's and mp3's.
